St Kilda Review

Something that I've started doing is looking for nice jewelry. Something that isn't disposable, something unique, something that I will delight in...I've been drooling over the goods at St. Kilda online for a few months now, and I finally managed to stop by at the lovely shop on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope.

Gorgeous. Silver and gold jewelry, starting at about a buck fifty or so ($150), with some precious stone and diamond pieces going up significantly more. The jewler, Nora Kogan, is an Odessa born, Australian raised woman who liked her mother's baubles, and it shows - some pieces definitely evoke my female relatives pretties.

The stuff is lovely - delicate but not precious, with a lot of very small stones, a little bit of clever, and sooooo sooooo many things I would love to wear. Nora was hanging out with some friends in the store, and took the time to try three different chains on the necklace I had picked out. She was lovely, as was her store - navy blue walls with black trim, some cases of goodies and a nicely curated selection of periodicals and picture books. I will definitely be shopping here for gifts to self and others. I almost didn't want to write this review as I like to be unique, but I really want this designer to keep it up...!
